"They said depression is a lazy man's disease"
Grey Matters is a devised spoken word play exploring issued around mental illness.
Following months of research and development, Poets Platform - the Theatre Royal Stratford East's Spoken Word Youth Company - presents a show that discusses mental health with frankness and sensitivity.
Inspired by the stories of focus group participants and drawn from the poets' own experiences. Under the guidance and direction of Kat Francois, these poets highlight the darker and lighter shades of our common struggle for internal stability in a complicated world.
Grey Matters exposes a pressing need to provide the right support for those who struggle with mental health conditions.
